Scene (Oval)

The figures are drawn from varied sources, including images found online, magazines and photographs I took, and altered in the process. Dispersing the sources separates them from particular people or situations and gives the images anonymity.

I arranged the figures in an oval so the crowd forms another shape as a whole. The work was made for a dark exhibition space with a moving-image projection opposite it, allowing its appearance to shift with the surrounding light and space.
